Privacy
The short version
You don't need an account and we don't use tracking cookies. Your hanging template is created in your own browser and downloaded straight to your device. The frames and settings you choose are not sent to us. When you buy a template, Stripe handles the payment. We only use your order details to let you download your template again and to help with questions about your order.
Who we are

Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver the pages and protect the site against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page you request. Cloudflare does this on our behalf and may process data outside the EU, with safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.
Visitor statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit the site, which pages they view and roughly where they come from (country, type of device). It works without cookies or other storage in your browser and does not build profiles of individual visitors. We only see totals.
Buying a template
Payments are handled by Stripe. The template is sold to you through Link, Stripe's checkout, which acts as the merchant of record. When you click the buy button, you go to Stripe's own checkout page. There, Stripe processes your email address, country and payment details to take the payment, calculate VAT or sales tax and send your receipt. We never see your card details. Your order (email address, receipt and invoice number, and the layout you bought) is kept in our Stripe account. We look it up there when you come back from the checkout and when you restore a purchase on another device, and we use it to answer questions about your order. We don't keep a separate copy and don't use it for marketing.
Cookies and storage in your browser
We don't place cookies. After a purchase, your browser remembers which layouts you bought (in its local storage), so you can download them again without an account. This stays on your device and is not used for tracking; clearing your browser's site data removes it. While you are on the checkout page, the browser also briefly remembers the layout and settings you chose, so you come back to the same place. Stripe's checkout page may use its own strictly necessary cookies while you pay. In some cases Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell real visitors from bots. It is not used for tracking.

The site links to ikea.com so you can view the frames there. HangMyGallery is not affiliated with IKEA. Once you are on ikea.com, IKEA's own privacy policy applies.
If you email us
We only use your email address and message to reply to you, and delete them when they are no longer needed.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask which personal data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. We only hold your order details if you bought a template, and emails you sent us. Contact us at hello@hangmygallery.com. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Changes
If anything changes in how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
